Xenoblade's Morag comes to Smash Ultimate in incredible Byleth mod

Byleth is the latest fighter to join the cast of Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and modders have already found ways to improve upon her addition to the game.
Twitter user “Demonslayerx8” modded the game to transform Fire Emblem’s Byleth into Xenoblade’s Morag, and the result is quite impressive.
The mod itself captures Morag’s appearance with her military uniform, black hair, gold armor, and eyes that seem ripped from the Nintendo Switch title.

As Demonslayerx8 showed in images, the modder even managed to put the new fighter in the victory screen, though the text still says Byleth. However, that will likely be changed once more progress has been made.
Considering her weapons, the editor added a custom sword flare for Morag’s whip and sword moves, and is replacing all of Byleth’s arsenal with Xenoblade weapons.
Morag Ladair is one of the main playable characters in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and if she had been officially added to the game, she would have been the franchise’s second representative in Smash Bros.

Of course, for now, fans will have to settle for Shulk. That said, Morag does make an official appearance in Smash Ultimate as a Spirit available on the Spirit Board.
As for Demoslayerx8, he has quite the history of impressive Smash Ultimate mods. Notably, he changed Persona’s Joker to Yugioh’s Kaiba, Ganondorf to Marvel’s Thanos, Snake to Deadpool.
He even made a video where Street Fighter’s Zangief fought Spider-Gwen from the Spider-Man universe.

Considering the care that goes into each mod, it’s definitely going to be interesting to see what the finished version of Morag looks like.
With six new DLC fighters still announced for Smash Ultimate, we can only wonder what modders will do with them to add even more characters to the already jam-packed roster.
