Blizzard have officially announced their new Warcraft mobile game: Arclight Rumble, bringing Azeroth to a plethora of new devices. Here’s everything we know so far.

Following Microsoft’s shock acquisition of Activision Blizzard, the future of the company’s iconic Warcraft IP has been the subject of some pretty intense debate.

Now, Azeroth will be coming to mobile devices, as Blizzard has officially announced their newest game set in the universe: Warcraft Arclight Rumble.

Contrary to what many thought, this is not WoW mobile however. As all eyes look to the future of Azeroth, here’s everything we know about Warcraft Arclight Rumble so far.

Is there a release date for Warcraft Arclight Rumble?

Blizzard didn’t announce an official release date yet for Arclight Rumble during the livestream reveal on May 3. However, they did open up pre-registration for players interested in trying the game out.

The live stream, which was held on Blizzard’s official site, also shed light on plenty of details about the new game for the very first time ever.

According to Associate Game Director Adam Kugler, WoW Arclight Rumble was inspired by tower defense games, but it will be what he called a “tower offense” game in the reveal stream.

Players will collect heroes (or villains) and send them in waves against opponents in PvE, PvP, raids, and a bunch of other modes as well.

You can play as one of five different factions: the Alliance, Horde, Blackrock legions, the Undead, and beasts (made up of Murlocs, Gnolls, and other mobs from WoW).

If you’re interested, you can pre-register for Arclight Rumble right now, using your Battle.net account, on the game’s official page. As of May 3, it is not available on the Google or Apple app stores just yet.
