Clash has only been getting more popular as time goes on in League of Legends. However, if you were getting bored of the monthly tournaments, Riot has got just the thing for you — a Worlds 2020 Clash event with bigger brackets and more rewards.

Clash has been around in League of Legends for a couple of years now. While it got off to a shaky start, Riot has gotten the process down pat to give players competitive tournaments with good rewards on the line every month or so.

If you have fallen out of love with Clash though, the Worlds 2020 event might just bring you back. Riot are putting on the biggest Clash tournament so far, with 16-team brackets boasting big rewards and plenty of bragging rights.

The Worlds event is coming, with Championship LeBlanc, the Worlds Pass, Dragonmancer skins, and did someone say… URF?

Teams will play four games in each bracket instead of the default three. There’s also Worlds-specific rewards on offer as you fight alongside the best of the best in Shanghai. Here’s everything you need to know about the Worlds 2020 Clash.

When is Worlds 2020 Clash in League of Legends?

Worlds 2020 Clash will run across two weekends in October. You’ll have to play with the same team across both days on a weekend, so you can’t swap teams between days unlike previous Clash tournaments.

It’s unclear if you’ll have to play all four games on one day and have two brackets across the weekend, or if each 16-team bracket will be split across the two days. We will update you as more information becomes available.

  • Weekend 1: October 10 and October 11
  • Weekend 2: October 17 and October 18
You’ll have a chance to pick up Championship LeBlanc if you win your Clash bracket!

Increased VP gain and more teams equals more rewards

The bigger Worlds 2020 Clash bracket with 16 teams equals more games to win. More games to win equals more Victory Points (VP). More VP equals bigger and better rewards.

Instead of just giving players default banners, Riot are putting on a few separate prizes for the Worlds 2020 Clash. Winners will earn a trophy for winning their bracket, and there’ll be unique logos on offer the more you win — including a Championship Logo at 2000 VP.

Depending on how well you do, you’ll also earn one of four banners: Cloud, Infernal, Mountain, and Ocean, in that order.

Finally, regardless of how well you do, there’ll be Worlds-exclusive loot on offer. Players can pick up Worlds Orbs for winning, or Championship Skin shards and permanents. This is on top of the usual rewards.

Worlds 2020 Clash team sign-ups open on October 5, so start assembling your squad and make your way towards victory!
