Just days after the launch of the Halo Infinite multiplayer beta, Dr Disrespect may have accidentally leaked his own Halo skin on stream.  Celebrating the 20 year anniversary of Halo: Combat Evolved on November 15, Xbox and 343 studios decided to surprise fans all over the world with an early release of Halo Infinite’s multiplayer game mode. Even though Dr Disrespect was originally worried about the quality of the game, he now stated that he has “high hopes” for it since the surprise release.

Epic Games has unveiled bold plans to take their flagship title Fortnite “beyond battle royale” off the back of a new “open-world” game mode, following in the footsteps of rival Apex Legends and their competitive “Arenas” playlists. The Fortnite publishers have been quite vocal in the past few years about their desire to expand their battle royale beyond its original, and now very much iconic last-man-standing game mode. According to Fortnite’s newly leaked Stipulated Exhibits Documents, which were officially revealed as part of the ongoing Epic Games v.

Epic Games have launched Fortnite Season 7 with a few more Mythic weapons and one of those is the Slone Pulse Rifle, which boss Doctor Slone is holding onto.  The game’s latest major update revealed a number of big changes in our unofficial patch notes, following an alien invasion theme that’s been building in Epic Games‘ teasers throughout the latter end of Season 6. Now that the v17.00 update has dropped, however, fans will be sniffing around the map for new things to do – and battling Doctor Slone should be high on that list, based on the reward you’ll get for defeating her.

Mortal Kombat’s co-creator Ed Boon opened up about the idea of either Scorpion or Sub-Zero appearing in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and gave fans some hope. In an interview with Shacknews, Boon was asked how he would feel about potentially celebrating Mortal Kombat in Smash Bros with Scorpion joining the fray with Sub-Zero as an echo fighter. “From my perspective, for me personally, I can’t speak for all of Warner Bros or anything, but it would be kind of like a stamp of approval,” the 55-year-old replied.

Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has explained why he believes Infinity Ward’s new battle royale title, Warzone, will be “impossible to balance,” especially considering it has to contend with Call of Duty’s regular multiplayer mode too. Shroud has been playing Warzone nearly non-stop since Modern Warfare’s battle royale was released on March 10, and he’s mostly been enjoying the grind ⁠— he even went as far as to dub it “more impressive” than Apex Legends.

Twitch has reportedly added a new Brand Safety Score system to rate all streamers for their content and community, which could affect advertising opportunities.  Such a system is already in place on YouTube, where channels and videos are either monetized or demonetized depending on the content. It appears that Twitch is now taking a similar approach with livestreamed content. This is according to new strings uncovered in the platform’s API.
