Tfue explains why Fortnite's skill-based matchmaking is ruining solos

Fortnite star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has hit out at the game’s skill-based matchmaking system, claiming that there is no reason to play regular solo matches because of it.  Since Season 10, the v10.40 update to be exact, Fortnite players have been able to experience skill-based matchmaking outside of the arena mode and in regular solo, duos, and squads. In theory, SBMM is supposed to match you up with players of a similar skill – or bots, if you’re just starting out.

Apex Legends leak reveals Shadowfall LTM returning with a twist

A new variant of the Shadowfall limited-time mode looks set to descend on Apex Legends for an upcoming Halloween event, according to new leaks. Shadowfall is a limited time-mode which first made its appearance during Apex Legends’ Season 3 Fight or Fright Collection event in October 2019. The LTM is set on the abandoned Kings Canyon map at night, where players have to try and escape the island before being infected by the Shadows.

A Super Smash Bros artist has created screenshots of what Nintendo’s flagship fighting game would look like if it originally appeared on the NES.  [ad name=”article1″] Posting to the Smash Bros subreddit, user Orangefriedegg showed off what he had been working on so far and asked for suggestions about possible moves for Yoshi and DK as many of their moves came from titles released after the NES.  “I’m making this specifically as though it could have been made in late 1993,” the artist wrote.

Broken Apex Legends revive bug is back again

An old bug that used to prevent Apex Legends players from being able to revive their teammates seems to have returned in Season 5, making for some seriously infuriating games. There have been numerous instances of bugs with reviving teammates, including a major issue with Mirage’s clones instantly reviving enemies, but this one is bound to cause some major rifts between teammates. As it was in Season 2 — prior to being patched — sometimes, players are simply unable to revive their teammate, with the command prompt not popping up.
