At the time of writing (June 9, 13:08 BST), all realms across Europe and North America & Oceania are operational. This can be seen on Blizzard’s WoW realm checker hub.
Back in May, Blizzard experienced a DDoS attack, meaning that all services including World of Warcraft went down. Blizzard confirmed that the servers were a victim of multiple “attacks.”
Hotfixes and patches are usually the reasons servers drop.Is there any planned maintenance for WoW?
As of June 9, 2022, there is currently no WoW planned maintenance scheduled for the rest of the week. The last maintenance for the game took place on June 7, 2022, for Shadowlands Patch 9.2.5.
WoW Burning Crusade Classic’s last planned maintenance took place on June 7, 2022.
