The updated reticle color settings in Apex Legends make it easier than ever for players to take creative control of their gameplay. Whether you’re after a blazing Hot Pink or more of a subdued Cerulean, here’s everything you need to know in order to change your crosshair.

Apex Legends is a game that is all about cultivating your personal playstyle. Whether it’s in choosing the Legend that’s right for you or refining your favorite list of weapons to decimate the arena, much of the gameplay is focused on being comfortable in your choices.

It can be hard to reach that level of comfort in combat if you’re having a hard time tracking exactly where your reticle is going. Thankfully, the developers at Respawn Entertainment have added options to fix that issue for players.

How to change your reticle color in Apex Legends

The Reticle menu opens up a whole new world of possibilities

In order to get started, load into the game and head to the Firing Range.

Once you’re inside you’ll need to follow a few simple steps:

  • Open up the Settings menu and scroll down the Gameplay tab until you find the Reticle section.
  • Click the Customize option to open up the Reticle Color selection screen.
  • Either choose one of the four pre-made color options or use the color sliders to fine-tune your choice
  • Spend some time shooting around at the bots and moving targets to make sure your choice is viable in-game.
  • If you can’t nail down the exact color you’re looking for, then you can use the Current boxes on the right-hand side of the screen to input a custom Hex Code to ensure your settings are perfect.

The sliders at the bottom of the screen allow you to get precise with your selection.

That’s all of the available options for Console players, but PC users can take things a step further using the game’s launch options.

When opening the game on Steam, right-click the thumbnail and open up the Properties menu and hunt down the Launch Options line.

Insert the code +reticle_color “0 0 0” and replace the zeroes with the Hex Code numbers of your choosing. Doing this will allow you to bypass the constraints on the in-game menu’s options, which are specifically limited to values under 255.
