After a number of racism allegations surfaced throughout 2020, including videos of founders Benny and Rafi Fine in blackface, there was monumental backlash. A serious hack was recently deployed against Apex Legends – but not to cheat or win games. Instead, the hacker created a new playlist name, sending players to a website about saving Titanfall. Within 24 hours, Respawn was able to deploy a fix and restore matchmaking. Titanfall, primarily the first game but Titanfall 2 to a lesser extent, has been plagued by DDoS attacks preventing anyone from playing the game. The problem has been ongoing for over two years.

Historic NA esports organization TSM is under fire after they posted an insensitive and highly controversial tweet following the team’s back-to-back losses in both the LCS and the Valorant Champions Tour. TSM were criticized for posting a tweet making reference to suicide after the team took two heavy losses in LCS Spring 2021 and VCT Challengers 3. The tweet, which was captioned “Sadge,” featured the “are you winning, son” meme format, with one of the depicted characters hanging from the ceiling.

World of Warcraft devs have confirmed players be able to fly in the new Zerith Mortis area, coming with Shadowlands’ final major content update – Patch 9.2.0 Eternity’s End. The update will introduce a brand new zone to WoW called Zerith Mortis. Unlike Korthia and The Maw, members of the community will eventually be able to fly around this area. In an interview on November 11, WoW senior level designer Sara Wons confirmed flying will be coming to Shadowlands’ final new zone.
