An Apex Legends dev has revealed that cheating and hacking in Ranked is at its lowest level ever thanks to “improved detection”. As with any battle royale, Apex Legends suffers from cheaters that use third-party software to gain an unfair advantage over their opponents. While these hacks are used in every mode, they’re particularly common in Ranked where competitors are more desperate to win and climb up each of the game’s tiers.

Popular StarCraft commentator and former pro player Geoff ‘iNcontroL’ Robinson has died aged 33 following a sudden illness.  Posts from iNcontroL’s social media accounts on Sunday, July 21 announced that he had unexpectedly passed on Saturday, July 20, after suffering from a sudden illness. “With immense grief, we announce Geoff’s unexpected pasing due to sudden illness Saturday,” the statement reads. “We ask privacy as his family works to understand what happened and make arrangements.

Twitch streamer Saqib ‘LIRIK’ Zahid shared the devastating news that one of his long-time viewers passed away. LIRIK is one of the oldest streamers on Twitch, having joined the platform all the way back in 2011. With such a long time streaming, he’s made a huge fan base that has lasted for a long time. In his stream on July 7 he revealed Guammiebear, one of his oldest viewers, had passed away.

Mega Altaria is finally making its way into Pokemon Go, and many trainers will no doubt be wondering how it stacks up against the rest of the game’s Mega-Evolved creatures. Directly after the Community Day event on May 15, which gives trainers plenty of opportunities to catch Swablu and evolve it into Altaria, a brand new Mega-Evolved Pokemon will be making its Go debut: Mega Altaria. Trainers will be able to battle Mega Altaria in Raids from Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 5PM local time.

YouTuber Tati Westbrook has announced that her makeup line, Tati Beauty, is closing, but explained that there was “no drama” and “no scandal” involved. Tati Westbrook is a YouTuber with over 8 million subscribers, and is one of the most well-known names in the beauty space on the website. Alongside her YouTube channel, she also runs vitamin company, Halo Beauty, and her makeup range, Tati Beauty, which she launched in 2019.

A new Warzone weapon blueprint bundle is being dubbed “pay-to-lose” after players discovered that the gun doesn’t work in the battle royale mode.  The Vanguard weapon integration has given Warzone players plenty of new loadouts to experiment with, but it seems that there is a major problem with one of the game’s blueprints. While Warzone weapon blueprints invariably offer unique camo designs and tracers packs, it’s rare that a blueprint actively gives players a disadvantage.
