After a month of fierce competition that saw the world’s best teams come together in Busan, Korea, Royal Never Give Up have officially been crowned champions of the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational. The first international event in the 2022 League of Legends calendar has come to a close. Eleven teams battled it out for four weeks to be crowned champion, with LPL representatives RNG and hometown favorites T1 fighting their way through to the grand final.

A MultiVersus leak showed gameplay of what appears to be a datamined ninja fighter believed to be either an original character (OC) or an entry with a possible link to the Naruto franchise. MultiVersus is the latest cross-over fighting game to take the internet by storm following its closed alpha period. Ever since fans got their first look at MultiVersus back in November of 2021, they’ve speculated about which potential characters could join the game’s incredibly varied roster.

Apex Legends players have called out Respawn over their plans for a Pathfinder rework dating back to 2020, expressing their disappointment as the fan-favorite MRVN remains untouched heading into 2022. Player-designed reworks have gained popularity to try and help Pathfinder, but nothing is confirmed. Pathfinder mains are still waiting for a promised rework to their favorite Recon Legend dating back nearly 18 months. The rework was teased during the launch of Apex Legends Season 6 in August 2020, and since Pathfinder mains have been giving Respawn plenty of examples to power-up the once-meta Recon Legend.

Psyonix is experimenting with some minor changes throughout the game, with noticeable updates to the Casual playlist that the studio already said they’d keep an eye on if it needed changing. Apex Legends devs have confirmed they’re working on a fix for the infinite Rampage & Sentinel charge exploit and have even threatened abusers with a ban. The Rampage LMG and Sentinel are fairly standard weapons at a glance, but their ability to be powered up in the middle of a skirmish makes them a real force to be reckoned with. However, in early December, players discovered an exploit that allowed both guns to be infinitely charged.

After a loud start, the Halo Infinite noise has quieted down.
