Titanfall 2 recently experienced a massive attack on its multiplayer servers, and the person behind it also appears to have gone on a racist tirade in a Twitch chat. The Titanfall community has hit a bit of a rough patch as of late. To start, Apex Legends was hacked on July 5 and redirected players to a website with the message “Save Titanfall.” Developers Respawn Entertainment quickly put out a fix though, removing the hacker’s work from the game.

Apex Legends streamer Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin has hit back at accusations of cheating, with the 100 Thieves player even providing footage of his controller to prove the accusers wrong.  While cheating in Apex Legends has not been as endemic as in other battle royales, it has still made a large portion of the community wary of incredibly high level gameplay. There have been a couple of notable cheating scandals, seeing some of the game’s highest ranked Apex Predators banned for cheating.

Asmongold finally revealed when he’d return to FFXIV after not playing for several months — teasing a re-emergence after the next World of Warcraft expansion is announced on April 19. MMO fans love seeing Asmon play their favorite games. However, none were more overjoyed than the FFXIV community. Players were thrilled when the Twitch star first joined and welcomed him aboard in a surprising way, and he thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

League of Legends patch 12.3 has launched, with Riot Games locking in a number of changes for the February update ⁠— this time around, the devs have nerfed nine champions, changed more than a dozen items, and plenty more. The massive v1.13 Modern Warfare update went live on January 22, introducing the new Crossbow weapon that players can unlock for free by completing an in-game challenge. Crossbows have featured in many previous Call of Duty titles, either being available right from the game’s launch or added later down the line as a DLC weapon. The weapon’s viability has varied over the years; some versions of it haven’t been effective while others have been more than good enough, like the one in Black Ops 4, for example, which was so overpowered that Treyarch had to nerf it a few times.

Animal rights org PETA is facing massive backlash, after promoting their own version of Pokémon just after the announcement of ‘Pokémon Sword and Shield’ on February 27. [ad name=”article1″] The company tweeted out a promo of their Flash game ‘Pokémon Black and Blue’ in wake of February’s Nintendo Direct, which was created as a parody of ‘Pokémon Black and White’ in 2012. With the slogan, ‘Gotta Free ‘Em All!’ it comes as no surprise that PETA’s game centers around the unethical treatment of Pokémon, and tasks players with freeing the pocket monsters from their abusive trainers.

Former 100 Thieves content creators Avalanche and Classify are joining MrBeast and his YouTube crew. Back at the end of May 2021, Avalanche and Classify parted ways with 100 Thieves after Mako left ‘The Mob’ four months earlier.  A little while later, the group officially split up. Their exit from the esports org wasn’t exactly a shock to fans who had seen the writing on the wall. But where they would go next left fans with a huge mystery.

Overwatch‘s resident geneticist, Moira O’Deorain, is one of the most polarizing support characters in the meta right now. With abilities to both maim enemies and heal targets through scientific vampiric-type abilities, she’s extremely powerful and can be quite hard to get the hang of. The 32-strong roster in the Overwatch game universe is full of diverse and strong personalities, and Moira is no exception to that. The iconic Irish support was a former member of the covert Blackwatch division of Overwatch, but now sits on the council of the villainous Talon.

Anybody looking to log into Apex Legends, FIFA 20, Star Wars Battlefront 2, and just about every other EA game are currently running into many issues that are blocking them from playing games. Fans quickly voiced their concerns on social media, and the developers confirmed they are looking into the issues.
